Also would like to let everyone know that the forum is getting updated within the next few hours to the more uptodate version of vbulletin that was released earlier today! Hi everyone. I been trying to keep the FTP thingy up-to-date by adding people asap. Im sorry if some of you have not received the info - please double check your junk-mail folders. If you still cannot find anything then e-mail me and make sure you mark the message IMPORTANT so it dont get marked as spam.

Also would like to ask you guys for some support as this month we are $100 short due to server upgrade and maintanance charges. So please if you got a spare dollar! I dont want to see this website go.

Last but not least I am looking to start adding some old school Garage videos on as well. All depends whether I can afford to get me some equipement this/next month.

Well, you can consider the other avenue to get your promo or other copyrighted material and that would be to actually BUY it so the music industry doesn't do bankrupt. Doesn't it seem logical that if you steal all your music and videos they will cease to exist at some point? Just a thought..... it's funny tho to see everyone complain when you are doing something illegal :-)

Promo Only Videos No Longer Available

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but due to some behind the scenes issues all Promo Only videos will be removed and no longer available. This isn't up for discussion or debate. This involves PO videos in all sections including Scene, Adi etc.

Over the next few days you will notice the Promo Only videos being taken off. There may be some section changes aswell.

Only PO is banned from main page, but it is still in forums.....so, just look their or even at main page cause there are the forum links to the new PO-releases!

Ok Adi - thanks for your views. I wasn't here to cause any problems. I'm a music video lover just like everyone else here. I was just trying to find a long term solution so that you guys could still keep doing what you are doing without any issues. If you have looked at torrents before and it didn't work then thats cool! Anyways keep up the good work guys - always appreciate what you guys do!

OK dolphine it's cool to share your point of view but unfortunately we're not a private community... Moreover we WON'T go back to torrents as it's easier for uploaders like me to upload only one time the file. Keitex used to be mvtorrents.com & there was a lot of leechers (just like now) & nobody wanted to seed except the original uploader. The change to file hosters was done & there's no need to argue torrents is not a good idea for such site. (moreover file size of music vids are reasonable to be hosted on sites like rs)

Ntaty - well just because they targeted a few doesn't mean they have targeted all. Mininova and ThePirateBay are still running with no issues as are lots of specialist private torrent sites. Also Demonoid will be back in a bit. You think websites like Keitex are any safer for not using promo rips? You are still posting copyright material even if it doesn't have PO on it.

Spanky - Torrents are fast too. Filehosters aren't any better especially for non premium account holders. So what if your IP is showing? Nobody ever got busted using a torrent program. All these university kids getting letters for sharing music were using stupid programs like Limewire and Kazaa and they have shared folders which you can see that they offer x number of songs and that is how they got caught. What you think something uploaded to a filehost cant be deleted or reported? pulease!

If the dedicated members/staff here seeded videos they got and shared it amongst themselves - the torrent idea could easily work quite well. Lots of private torrent sites work in the same way. You dont get 2000 seeders but you get a few dedicated people who seed and create a community. If you people are so passionate - do rather than talk! I'll happily seed what I get. I already do that for the few private torrent sites i am a member of for software, games, movies, music etc - so why not music videos?

Yea whats better than downloading from a free filehoster at full speeds? Downloading from other peers using torrents at slow speeds if your lucky to find seeders...oh and also having your IP shown to everyone that connects to you? Dont think so. Torrents ftl.

kathy, i too prefer retail DVDrips over Promo Only rips because of its high quality like you mentioned. it is somewhat good and bad that POs get removed, newer music videos wont be released like they should be but it should be worth the wait until a retail source of it comes out

People will hate me, but I kinda like it that PO videos are now being taken off. Perhaps, I just don't like that ugly "Promo Only" text that appears in almost every video. Now, high-quality retail DVD rips will be available, which will further improve the works of Keitex.

That's my 2 cents. Don't eat me. >_<

I only come here for the dvdrip scene releases, so if you guys don't post them anymore - there really is no reason to be here. Promo Only are a bunch of money grabbing assholes anyways. I suggest rather than posting file hosting links, just use torrents - then PO can't touch your ass. TORRENTS FTW!!!!!!!

The format of the front page is better now. It never was a good idea to advertise where the videos were ripped from anyway. Just a good way to pull too much attention from the wrong people. I do subscribe to PO, but I like the fact that I don't have to go though the hassle of re-encoding the vids to make them smaller. I would rather someone who know what they are doing handle that.

to answer your question, the PO rips will be removed from main page, it doesnt affect the forums i believe

as for POs being postedin other places, it will probably be available until those places you are talking about gets an email from Promo Only to remove them also.

If the video has the words "Promo Only" cropped off, they can't prove its a PO. So what if the rest of the text is not cropped, its not enough proof its a PO. That text is a common text, that everyone has access too.

To Po Execs: Since you guys are monitoring this community, I have some words for you. Honestly, I think you guys are being silly; we're promoting you guys and you don't even see it. A lot of the customers you received got word of mouth from here. Why not make the dvds available to normal consumers? People like music videos too, in fact, some even more so than music itself because it puts the lyrics into action. To put an end to this completely, you'd have to scour the entire internet to put a stop to this, and good luck with that.
